Certification to become a first aid responder for adults + pediatrics, taught by Licensed American Red Cross training provider.
The Nurse Aide Program provides comprehensive classroom instruction and supervised clinical training focused on the fundamentals of safe, competent, and compassionate patient care. In addition to preparing students for the South Carolina Nurse Aide Competency Evaluation Program, the course develops essential workforce readiness skills, enhances professional caregiving competencies, and equips students with the knowledge and practical experience needed for successful employment in the healthcare field.
Duration: 8 Weeks
Schedule: Tuesdays (6PM-10PM) + Thursdays (6PM-10PM) + Saturdays (9AM-2PM)
Tuesdays + Thursdays - Lecture + Skills; Saturdays- Clinical Rotation
This certificate program prepares participants to safely assist residents with the self-administration of prescribed medications in accordance with applicable regulations and best practices. Students will develop the knowledge and skills necessary to:
Assist residents with the self-administration of prescribed medications in a safe and professional manner.
Ensure medications are administered according to prescribed schedules and established procedures.
Accurately document medication assistance and maintain appropriate records.
Observe, monitor, and promptly report potential medication-related concerns, side effects, or changes in resident condition.
Provide compassionate, resident-centered support while promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life in a home-like environment.
Upon successful completion, participants will be equipped to deliver safe medication assistance and contribute to the overall health and well-being of residents in long-term care and assisted living settings.
Duration: 2 Days
Schedule: Saturday (9AM-5PM) + Sunday (9AM-5PM)
